The Sinnoh region is one of the most pristine regions of the Pokemon world. If you go there, there are many destinations to explore. You could have a nice walk with your Pokemon in Amity Park within the bustling Hearthome City, dig up some fossils in the Oreburgh Mines, or ski in the never-melting snow of Snowpoint City.

However, one of the most peaceful places in all of Sinnoh is the beautiful Lake Verity, just north of Twinleaf Town. Situated on the shore of this tranquil lake, there is a Pokemon Daycare, where a retired Pokemon Trainer spends her days taking care of the Pokemon she obtained from her journey, as well as other Pokemon that Trainers leave with her.

On this particular day, such a Trainer made his way to the daycare, but just as he reached the door of the main building, he heard a giant explosion from beyond on the grounds.

He ran over to the fence next to the building, ready to leap over it, when a girl jumped in front of him from the other side. She had green eyes and short, brown hair, which was covered up by a green hat with a little star-like badge attached to it. She wore a green jacket, brown shorts, black leggings, green socks that reached up to her knees and brown boots. She also had a Trainer's belt worn around her shoulder, holding six Pokeballs in each socket. "Oh, I'm so sorry about that. It's nothing you really need concern yourself about. It's just the Pokemon playing with each other." She attempted to assure the Trainer, sweatdropping.

The Trainer arched his eyebrow. "Playing a bit rough, aren't they?"

She was about to reply when another explosion sounded off behind her, a lot closer this time. Suddenly, two Pokemon jumped out from behind the trees. They were a pair of a Sableye and a Rotom who was happily hovering over the Sableye's head. In the Sableye's hand was a half-eaten chocolate chip cookie, which he took no time in shoving down his throat. They then ran off to the left, as a huge Flamethrower blasted down the greenery where they just were. An Infernape jumped out of the trees, a look of absolute fury on it's face. The Infernape looked where the two other Pokemon had fled to, and charged off in that direction, leaving a raging inferno that had been caused by the Flamethrower.

"Oh, no." The girl muttered. She grabbed a Dive Ball off of her strap and tossed it out. "Napoleon, put out the fire!" A white flash erupted from the Pokeball, and out of it appeared a Floatzel. When Napoleon saw the blaze, he sighed, muttering something in his Pokemon language, before beginning the process of putting out the fire.

The girl turned back to the Trainer. "Er, I don't suppose you'd want to come in for some tea and cookies, would you?"

The Trainer smiled. "I would love that. Thank you."

The girl jumped the fence before she led the Trainer inside. "By the way," she said quickly, "my name's Elisa."

After tea was served to the two of them was served tea by an Empoleon who Elisa explained that she was named Jadis, the two of them began to talk business. After about an hour, the two of them finished discussing their terms.

"So, basically, to review, I'm going on a month-long tour of the Kalos region, and I'd like you to watch over my Pokemon while I'm gone. For some reason, Pokemon are not allowed on this tour, so I have to leave them somewhere. And Professor Rowan is too busy to take care of my Pokemon. He suggested I leave them here with you, saying that you're pretty reliable, for the most part."

Elisa smiled, blushing slightly. "Wow, I didn't know Professor Rowan thought of me that way. I'd be happy to take your Pokemon off of your hands while you're on your tour, except..."

The Trainer looked at her uneasily. "What? Is there a problem?"

Her eyes widened and she shook her head. "No, no. No problem. It's just that..." She looked at the Pokeballs that were lined up on the table in front of her. "A normal team of Pokemon consists of six Pokemon. So, why are you leaving me with eight?"

The Trainer nodded. "Yeah, I can see how you'd have a problem with that. Well, you see, for a while, I had six Pokemon. However, two of them kept getting beaten in battles, and I couldn't stand to see them thinking less of themselves because they felt weak. So, I left them with a couple of specialists to train, and I had two new Pokemon added to my team. I just thought that this would be a great opportunity for them to reunite with their old friends, as well as meet the others for the first time, you know?"

Elisa's eyes brightened. "Yeah, I see now. I think that's just perfect! I'll take them off of your hands, so you don't have to worry about it while you're gone."

The Trainer nodded his head. "Thank you. I know I shouldn't worry, but some of them tend to get into trouble if they're left alone. I hope they won't be a bother."

Elisa chuckled. "I know the feeling. Don't worry, I'll make sure they stay out of trouble. And, believe it or not, that Infernape from earlier is actually the one that keeps everyone in line. Veruka doesn't usually blow up like that, so they should be fine."

The Trainer stood up, setting his teacup back onto the tray on the coffee table in front of them. "I should hope so." Elisa stood up as well, and they shook each other's hands. "Good luck, Elisa."

Elisa nodded. "And you too, Ronald."

The first chapter of my new recursive fanfiction based on the Random Doom series by :icontamarinfrog:.

So, I believe that went off without a hitch. Also, if you happen to be a reader of mine, you would know that the Trainer Ronald is actually an important character to me. That's why such great care was taken to give him the least amount of description as possible. I'm not a jerk, I'm just being secretive.

Anyway, I hope Tamarin will think kindly of this story, as this will feature some of my OC Pokemon as they interact with the characters you know and love from Random Doom. Most of these Pokemon haven't even been published before now, so this is a true landmark for me. I hope you will enjoy these Pokemon as much as I have. So, until the next chapter, stay tuned for more!
